It was heavy and I saw someone lifting it up
Slowly carving it out of the stone
Sculpting my name on it
I sat there , not ready to believe
As the dusk broke into the silence of dark night
I hoped it would rain
And may be I'll fade away
But my name
I hated the eerieness but only I was the listener
Of leaves that bustled under the moon
Burying the groans I could feel
After a long time I was not afraid
Of wandering into the bushes ,
disappearing into the darkness
Or of another human
But not to return home
Winds blew and whistled
I imitated it
Like the last joke I would share
I couldn't make myself to laugh
All the pain I imagined was real
and slowly like small steps
As darkness started to fade into white lines of dawn
My pain withered in that rhythm
It finally rained washing away my last memory
Of leaning my back on my tombstone
And before the clouds broke into the sunrise
I was gone ...
